Hi, I'm Michelle!
In my late teens/twenties: I used to be a party girl. Dancing all night, sleeping all day, fueled by copious amounts of booze, Red Bull and pizza. If you would have told me back then that I would one day be starting work at 5.30AM I would have actually laughed in your face! The only way I was up at 5.30AM was if I was stumbling out of a night club and heading to the kebab shop!
In my 30’s: the parties changed but my lifestyle didn’t. I could drink a whole bottle of red wine to myself every evening. Takeaways were the norm. I ran for exercise but kept getting bigger, less energetic, more insecure with my body and generally unhappy....which led me to eat and drink more. Eventually, this party girl lifestyle led me to being overweight, lacking in confidence and having absolutely no energy to the point that I overslept my alarm nearly everyday resulting in a mad dash to the bus stop looking like a disaster.
Now in my 40’s, I’m a Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coach who wakes up before 5AM every day, raring to go and excited for my day ahead. I’m 40 and not mad about it! I feel strong and fit, happy and healthy…..so what changed?
I tried all the fad diets under the sun. Slim Fast shakes that turned my skin grey, fat burners that made me feel like my heart might explode, a diet so heavy in beans that I thought I might blow away….until I finally stumbled on a method that helped me to lose 10kg and keep it off, but more importantly, allowed me to live my life where I get up before 5AM everyday feeling energetic, happy and appreciative of my life.
And now I help other people do the same! No faffing around with complicated diets or making drastic lifestyle changes. Just implementing normal, simple lifestyle changes to help people age (dis)gracefully because “Life's too short”. I even have it tattooed on my wrist (in Elvish- don't judge….)
